Review

Appreciate the blend of black and pink pepper, which stands out from a relatively restrained incense and rose heart. This scent rides the wave of synthetic, metallic opening and a natural pepper-driven descent to resinous, dry woods.

From our wear of a 2020 decant, the fruity pepper opening brought a smile to our face on a cold winter day. The blend of pink and black pepper along with the bitter orange is bright and juicy, but still dry. The rose starts to poke through relatively soon after application. This is blasting with aldehydes, enough to drive away loved ones.

After the intense opening settles, there is an excellent pepper blend dropping into the heart to meet an incense rose over dry wood. The rose could come through more clearly. As the pepper fades, the incense picks up where it left off. The scent is fairly linear from this point and fades relatively quickly. The drydown is nice, without a loud musk note taking over everything, but not particularly interesting.

This makes our Top 10 Black Pepper Perfumes for the quality and excitment (electricity?) of the pepper and citrus opening.

Projection is monster at opening and then drops off. Longevity is low. Sillage is moderate.
