Review

Cherry vanilla cola bubblegum fruit dream spice powder. Try to tap into the sensory overload of touching another person intimately, yet innocently with the shared intention of tender closeness. It might smell like this.

From our wear of a 2020 decant, the fruit drops out after a few minutes and into a spicy, resinous vanilla. This sweet, spice vanilla is fairly linear into the drydown. The listed opening note of opopanax is true to the characteristic notes of sweet, balsamic, warm, and animalic. The dream of geranium could achieve this tight fruit/floral accord. There is a hint of the violet, but this is not drowning in powder.

This is really a classic amber perfume with a fruity opening and floral/fruity heart fades away nicely. There is a dry. woody note supporting the amber/vanilla/spice that keeps this moving. This is why we include Slow Dance in our list of the Top 10 Amber Perfumes. The drydown could have more to offer. We do like the overall sweet, vanilla, resin approach. There is a sharp animalic note in there, but it was hard to find and not enough to overcome the idea that the end of the dance is near.
